RCA LPM-1382 Elvis (Elvis Presley) Undocumented Variation Confirmed.

LPM-1382RCA Victor presents Elvis, the follow-up second release to Elvis Presley (LPM-1254). Elvis was released in November 1956 with the catalog number LPM-1382. This record is well documented with all of it’s variations including 13 different cover backs, the Old Shep variation, Bands on label, with and without “New Orthophonic” on label, are among the major variations. However, there is a relatively recent discovery of another not completely documented cover back variation exists. The desirable cover back that does not contain any photos of other albums, where the track listings are in the upper right of the cover is the closest example to this variation. The track listings are on the left of the cover, the paragraphs are better spaced throughout the cover and there is LPM-1254 in the upper right and corner of the cover. I have aquired a copy of this variation, here it is documented.

COVER 1: Front: RCA Victor logo and number at upper right. No song titles listed. Back: Text only and pictures no albums.

This cover, however, is a variation, as listed in Presleyana V as “not yet seen” where the back is text only and pictures no albums, but the tracks are listed at the upper left instead of the right.

The more common text only and pictures no albums back compared to this rare variation.
