Elvis As Recorded at Madison Square Garden was recorded live by Elvis Presley at the Madison Square Garden arena in New York City on Saturday, June 10, 1972. The concert was promoted as Elvis’ first live concert in the Big Apple since the 1950s. The album was released only one week later on June 18, 1972. The LP peaked at the number 11 position on July 9, 1972. It was on the chart for thirty-four weeks.
The regular release of this album is relatively common, however, the promotional releases are highly desirable by the serious Elvis collectors.
